My little custom vintage shop specializes in upcycling and transforming old vintage clothes into one-of-a-kind pieces with hand-sewn appliqués. Each item is a unique work of art, carefully crafted to breathe new life into classic (and sometimes not so classic. let’s face it) garments.
Here at OKO Custom Vintage I actually believe in sustainable fashion, having grown up in and around thrift stores and second hand shops, I developed a real nostalgia and connection to these discarded items. I love “fixing stuff up” and transforming it. Just like we all love makeover shows, I love to makeover these old shirts, and turn them into something new that can go on to live a few more years of it’s “life” in the world. My hand-sewn appliqués are done in my own style, and it’s reflective of other pieces I work on. Whether it be painting, or text pieces. Whether you’re a vintage lover or looking for a statement piece that’s truly original, my shop has something special for you. In addition to the works available in the store, I also do comissions. So if you’ve been dying to get a lofi hand sewn image of a squirrel water skiing then I’m the guy to do that.
