OBJECTIVE
As an art educator and practicing artist, I have devoted my career to nurturing the creative potential within my students. My teaching philosophy extends beyond the foundational techniques of drawing and painting; it encompasses fostering a critical and conceptual engagement with media. This holistic approach ensures that students not only master artistic skills but also develop a nuanced understanding of the role of art in society and its capacity for intellectual inquiry. I currently work as a lecturer in the MA Fine Arts program at Prague City University, and also run my own Atelier called Oko Academy. My youtube channel now has a community of over 30,000 subscribers and led to the creation of a dedicated painting podcast, named “The Painting Podcast”.
In 2021, I utilized my online community to establish Oko Academy, an on-site art school located in Prague. Oko serves as a hub for personalized mentorship and hosts a variety of public events, creating a vibrant community space dedicated to fostering artistic growth and collaboration.My approach combines art history lectures with hands-on workshops, covering a wide range of tools and techniques. My own art is represented by Giampietro Gallery and has been showcased in museums including The Pompidou and Schirn Kunsthalle, with my journey highlighted in media from NPR to Wired.
