This introductory oil painting course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the materials, techniques, and processes involved in oil painting. Throughout the course, students will learn about the properties and handling of oil paints, the use of various painting surfaces and tools, and the fundamental principles of color theory and composition. Students will leave this intensive with multiple finished studies utilizing multiple techniques and approaches to painting.

Join Jer Palecek for an intensive crash course on the essentials of oil painting, covering both the fundamental concepts and materials. Participants will start with the basics and progress through a series of exercises, culminating in a solid foundational understanding of oil painting techniques. This course will cover a range of topics, including how to begin a painting, surface priming, material and technique selection, drawing with oil paints, alla prima painting, lighting for still life, and color mixing to match values. Designed for an immersive learning experience, this course packs a wealth of information, ensuring participants leave with valuable knowledge that will serve as a springboard for future artistic endeavors.

This is a personalized program designed for artists seeking to refine their craft and elevate their artistic vision. Tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each mentee, this mentorship offers one-on-one guidance with seasoned artists who are not only masters of their medium but also passionate educators. Students interested in this course should show a dedication to their craft and will be expected to work both during class time on projects done together with an instructor but outside of class as well. Each of the mentorship blocks consists of 8 separate lessons done both in class, and out, that are designed to hone your skills.

Tento úvodní kurz olejomalby je navržen tak, aby studentům poskytl komplexní pochopení materiálů, technik a procesů spojených s olejomalbou. V průběhu kurzu se studenti seznámí s vlastnostmi a zacházením s olejovými barvami, s použitím různých malířských povrchů a nástrojů a se základními principy teorie a kompozice barev. Studenti opustí tuto intenzivní práci s několika dokončenými studiemi s využitím různých technik a přístupů k malbě.

Tento kurz se zaměřuje na zdokonalování pozorovacích dovedností prostřednictvím tvorby maleb zátiší. Je vhodný pro začátečníky i zkušené umělce, kteří chtějí věnovat pravidelný čas malbě z přímého pozorování. Každé zátiší je promyšleně osvětleno, aby studentům poskytlo tu nejlepší příležitost pozorovat a pochopit souhru světla a stínu, což umožňuje komplexnější zkoumání těchto základních prvků. Všechny potřebné materiály jsou součástí tohoto kurzu.
