Drawing Courses in Prague in English

We offer a variety of drawing classes here at Oko Academy, and they can all be designed to your skill level. By selecting a course you’ll be working individually with me over the course of 5 lessons. Each lesson lasts 90 minutes, and costs 600kc. All drawing classes are taught in English, but I do understand Czech and will accomodate Czech speakers as well.

Beginning Drawing Courses

Our Drawing Workshops and Classes in English are tailored to guide you progressively, enabling personal growth at your own speed. Ideal for both beginners and those seeking a refresher, our offerings cater to all aspiring artists aiming to enhance their abilities. Whether you’re new to the world of drawing or revisiting an old hobby, our workshops provide a foundational understanding of the basics of drawing. These can be expanded upon later into a multitude of directions.

In our sessions, you’ll be encouraged to develop a unique artistic voice, delving into both conventional and unconventional aspects of drawing and painting. The classes cover essential elements like proportion, texture, line, shading, composition, and color application. Each lesson introduces various mediums including pencil, charcoal, colored pencils, and ink.

Once you begin your personal artistic expedition with us, crafting your narrative through the language of drawing, you’ll be able to find your own voice. Our curriculum is designed for absolute beginners, offering an ideal starting point to build fundamental skills, experiment with different materials, and embrace drawing as an enjoyable, creative pursuit. All of these Drawing Classes take place at our studio located in Žižkov, Prague.

Intermediate Drawing Classes

Children’s Drawing Classes

Introduce your child to the world of art with our ‘Young Sketchers’ course. This beginner-level program is designed for children aged 10 and up, offering a comprehensive introduction to drawing. Through engaging, hands-on activities, we help young artists understand fundamental concepts like form, shadow, and composition, giving them an early advantage in artistic development. This classes can also be done in preperation for applying to various art high schools in Prague.

Mastering Drawing Class, And Finding Your Voice

When you sign up for one of these drawing courses you’ll be working individually with me, or in a small group of no more than 3. We choose the time that works best, and you’ll receive a PDF outlining the five lessons which we will be doing. Each lesson involves drawing at the OKO studio located in Prague. I do not do online courses at this time. Each drawing class costs 600kc, or 3,000kc for 5 weeks. One good thing about these drawing classes is that they build upon each other as well.
